Wanneer Menting is ingetreden bij de Broeders van O.L. Vrouw van Lourdes, kon nog niet worden achterhaald; wel dat hij de kloosternaam Borgia aannam en als ziekenverpleger heeft gewerkt. Psychiatrische zorg was een van de activiteiten van de congregatie.<br />

Broeder Borgia heeft een deel van zijn werkzame leven doorgebracht in Oostakker (België), waar zich het moederhuis van de Belgische tak van de congregatie bevond. Komend van Oostakker werd hij op 22 juni [[1909]] ingeschreven in het bevolkingsregister van Dongen. Op 9 september [[1913]] vertrok hij naar Den Bosch. Zijn volgende vermelding is de inschrijving in het bevolkingsregister van Dongen op 30 januari [[1932]]. Hij kwam toen weer uit Oostakker.<br />

Broeder Borgia Menting overleed in Dongen op 28 oktober [[1942]], 79 jaar oud.<br />

Uit de [[gemeente Bergh]] zijn minstens zeven jongemannen bij de Broeders van O.L. Vrouw van Lourdes ingetreden. Zij kwamen allemaal uit Stokkum.<br />
