<p><b>Nieuwe pagina</b></p><div>'''Ank Pas''' werd geboren te [[Zeddam]] op 15 november [[1920]] als dochter van [[Pas, Johannes Gerardus|Johannes Gerardus Pas]] en Catharina Elisabeth Augustina Puntman. Zij overleed in [[1998]].<br />

In de [[Tweede Wereldoorlog]] was zij [[Onderwijzers|onderwijzeres]] in Driebergen. Hoewel zij toen nog niet getrouwd was, heeft zij daar een Joods meisje voor haar dochter laten doorgaan en aldus het leven gered. Dit lukte mede omdat beide slanke, donkere types waren. De ouders en de broer van het meisje zijn in september [[1944]] in de gaskamers van Auschwitz om het leven gekomen.<br />
<br />
Het Joodse meisje verbleef gedurende de oorlog in Zeddam, waar al gauw het gerucht de ronde deed dat zij was voortgesproten uit liefdesrelatie. Dit was dus niet waar, maar het was wel een mooie dekmantel voor het meisje.<br />

Ook Anks [[Pas, Antonius Gerardus Johannes|broer Tonny]] en [[Pas, Catharina Maria Francisca|zus Toos]] hebben daden van verzet gepleegd.<br />
